About

meWhat is beauhinks?

Beauhinks is a central hub for my thoughts, research, and work. Truthfully, this is just a blog powered by WordPress and a few other lovely things. Check back frequently for photos, politics, code, and of course physics.

Who are you?

Currently I am an undergraduate student studying Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The spring semester of 2008 I broke out of the box and studied abroad at St. Andrews University in Scotland. I like to pretend I understand the subjects I study, but the truth is I often do not–part of the learning process. My family and friends are most important to me.

We’re looking for talent…

If you would like a resumè, send me a request at stevefturner[at]googlemail.com. Or shoot me an e-mail there if you would like to chat in general.

What does “homo sum…” mean?

“I am a man and nothing human is alien to me.” - Terence is Publius Terentius Afer (c. 190–159 BCE)

I try to honor this by learning as much as possible each day about a wide range of topics. I read over 2,500 articles each month spanning neuroscience, religion, computer science, and physics. Perhaps thats why I forget where I tossed my car keys in the morning?
